NaBloPoMo: Day the Last! November 30, 2009

Yay! I made it!

I may have posted crap a few days out of the month, but I really didn’t think I’d be able to remember to post every single day. Now I’m not going to want to post for the rest of the year, but I will try.

I forgot how nice it feels to post regularly. My writing isn’t what it used to be, it’s kind of devolved into very speedy nonsensical gibberish, but I think if I posted more often it could improve.

Now to not make this post all meta, I just watched Food Inc with Keith.

And a warning, if you like food at all, you probably shouldn’t watch it. It was heartbreaking and depressing and disgusting. Well, not the movie, but the entire food industry.

It honestly makes me want to go live in a hut somewhere and eat grass for the rest of my life. I think I was happier being ignorant of everything, but I also feel a bit better knowing. Not saying that my eating or buying habits will change drastically , but maybe I’ll try a little. Organic stuff is expensive, which is a shame.

The grassy hut thing sounds the easiest option right about now.

Hasta luego!

I think you are a very good writer. I actually think the writing in this blog (except for the major cop-out entries) is the best you’ve ever done. And I’ve been subscribing to KatrinaLife for how many years now…2000? I know you had one before that, but I was internet-backwards and didn’t know about all the fantastical things the internet could bring until about that point.

Anyway, I think you are a great storyteller, both in oral and written form. THe writing is witty and snappy, of course the dry, wry humor is present and makes the entries lough out loud funny. But, there is so much heart too, there are so many times when you can make a reader feel worry or concern for you, and that is wonderful that you can make people empathize with you.

    Anyway, I appreciate your blog.
